Stephen Nish 

September 25, 1949 - May 7, 2000

 

Stephen Cecil Nish, age 50, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at his home in Logan of a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 25, 1949, in Logan, Utah to Cecil H. and Shirley Obray Nish. He married Diane Shaffer. Together they had one son, Eric, and were later divorced. He then married Paulette Parkinson Hansen on April 22, 1982.

 

He was a Life Scout and participated in a National Scout Jamboree. He was a member of the LDS Church and served an LDS mission to Scotland 1968-1970.

 

He was in the trucking business with his father and he was a good truck driver. He was employed at Sharp Trucking Company for 9 years.

 

He is survived by his wife, Paulette, Logan, Utah; son, Eric Nish, Roy, Utah; stepchildren, Monica Campbell, Ogden, Utah; Richard Hansen, Butte, Montana; Vikki Hawkes, Logan, Utah; 7 grandchildren, Lindsey, Jamie, Kyle, Landon, Jancee, Brianna and McKayla; and one great grandson, Damon; parents, Cecil and Shirley, Logan, Utah; sister, Lisa Nish, Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Clark.

 

Graveside services will be held a 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, in the Logan City Cemetery.
