Charon Cooper, 56, passed away on January 21, 2005, after a long illness.  He was born on January 2, 1949 in Logan, Utah to William Ira and Dalline Andersen Cooper.
Charon grew up in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1968.  On June 28, 1969, he married the love of his life, Peggy Ann Hall of Preston, Idaho.

In April of 1969 he reported for duty with the Army Corps of Engineers and proudly served one year in Viet Nam.

He returned to Cache Valley and picked up his craft as a brick mason, doing that for 15 years.  Later in life he became a pipe fitter, doing that for 19 years.

Charon always enjoyed talking about his work, especially the time he worked on the restoration of the Logan Temple.  He enjoyed fishing with his family.  In his free time he also enjoyed motorcyling around Cache Valley.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Cooper; one daughter, Cori Cooper; one son, Coby (Rabecka) Cooper, and four grandchildren, all of Preston, Idaho; his mother, Dalline Cooper of Logan, Utah; two brothers, Jeff (Lora) Cooper of Smithfield, Utah and Kerry Cooper of Logan, Utah; two sisters, Kenna Cooper and Lee Ann Cooper, both of Preston, Idaho, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Ira Cooper and a son-in-law, Troy L. Goodwin.

A small private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, with burial in the Logan City Cemetery.
