Carolyn Cook Christenson, 59, passed away on March 23, 2009, in Logan, Utah. She was born Oct. 7, 1949, to Noel and Lila Cook, the second of four children.

Carolyn attended local schools, including USU, where she majored in elementary education. She had a real love for music and singing. She was a member of the group Chauntaires in high school and the Balladiers at USU. She combined her talents of teaching and love for music and successfully ran a children's performing group called Sunshine Generation. Carolyn loved reading, writing, walking and gardening. She had a love that radiated to everyone around her.

Carolyn married and moved to Gunnison, Utah. She was the loving/devoted mother to four children. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone and was a very hardworking person both in her community and at home. Carolyn was the proud grandma to 14 grandkids whom she loved very much, making each one feel valued. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her four children, Paul K. Christenson (Michelle) of Fayetteville, N.C.; Kirk T. Christenson (Marcie) of West Jordan, Utah; Sherilyn King (Nathan) of Fayette, Utah; and Dawnelle Harris (Easton) of Las Vegas, Nev. She is also survived by her mother, Lila Cook of Logan, Utah; and brothers Allen Cook (Julie) of Logan, Utah; Dan Cook (Vickie) Twin Falls, Idaho; and Bob (Laura) Cook of Logan, Utah. She is preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at noon Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, with a viewing preceding at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery following the service. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the medical professionals who assisted in her care. We love you, Mom!
